Koumura: Tea Ceremony Utensils
It has been over 40 years since the Koumura Building was established on the historic site of the Tokaido Okazaki-juku Nishihonjin. Our store specializes in tea ceremony utensils, a core aspect of Japanese traditional culture. We offer a wide range of products to meet the diverse needs of those new to tea ceremony, those wishing to share it with children, enthusiasts, and dedicated practitioners alike.

1F Antiques: A wide variety of antiques and valuable items are available at great prices.
2F Tea Ceremony Utensils Section: We have everything you need for tea ceremony, from practice supplies to tea ceremony utensils with inscriptions.
3F Exhibition Hall: We hold exhibition sales every January and July.
5F Tea Room "Miyabi-an"
〈Class Information〉
*Urasenke Tea Ceremony Class: Held once a month with instructor Mr. Soko Shimura (Iemoto Myodai)
*Shino-ryu Kodo (incense appreciation) Class: Held on the first Wednesday of every month, with instructor Mrs. Naomi Hachiya (Iemoto's wife).
*Haigata workshop: Held once a month on Thursday with instructor Mr. Tamio Ogawa.
Koumura: Ceramics and Vases
Established in 1934, we are a specialty store for ceramics and vases that has been operating in this location since 1946.
We offer a wide range of products, from commercial tableware and everyday dishes to gift items.
We also carry "catalog gifts," which are popular for celebrations and ceremonies.
With nearly 500 vases on display at all times, we invite you to visit and personally select your preferred piece.
